SDNY was an idea I’ve had for quite some time, but was put on pause because the business of life took a front seat. Amidst the experience of Covid I knew I couldn’t hold onto this special concept any longer, it was time to put the wheels in motion. Stop Drop ‘N’ Yoga is a way to bring innovative wellness to your local park, beach, front door, or back yard! Our mission is to share the benefits of yoga, meditation, and wellness in your comfort zone either on a one on one basis or with the friends and family that you know and love. A contemporary way to ‘bring the studio to you,’ SDNY aims to customize your experience through a blast from the past, counterculture, flower child vibe; with peace, love, and happiness the possibilities are endless.

Doing teacher trainings around the world in New York City, India, South Florida, and Africa really shaped her perspective on how to treat our bodies. Understanding “Bio-individuality” is key to growth in health and wellness and creating and maintaining wholeness.

MEET JAYAA
the newest addition to the Rising Root family.
In May of 2020 I, finally, started searching for the van that would be perfect for SDNY. I looked on every site I could think of until I found her; a 1973 Westfalia Camper Van, Jayaa, came to Vermont by means of Tennessee and Florida. She was in amazing condition and, after a brief visit from a good friend, I knew she was the one! A few months of chatting with her owners and some mechanical tune ups, Jayaa was on her way to New York. The day she arrived she had a bit of a hard time adjusting to her new home, but I knew we’d get along JUST FINE.
Why name her Jayaa?
It is the feminine depiction of the Sanskrit word “Jaya” meaning “victory.” The feminine expresses connection to the Goddess, Saraswati, or the goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. In alignment with our parent company “Rising Root,” Jayaa will be a vessel of constant growth and transition from jnana to vig jnana (knowledge to wisdom.)
Why take yoga on the road?
Because we know how important the practice is and know that it’s critical to have an offering that can be anywhere; affluent communities as well as those who may think of yoga as an amenity. On the road is accessible, bespoke, and perfect for all ages and styles.
